Gun Powder (Milaga podi)
Ingredients:
1.Chana dal
2.Curry leaves
3.Hing
4.Pepper corns
5.Red chillies
6.Rice
7.Urad dal
Preparation:
1. Dry roast chana dal ,urad dal ,rice and well.
2.Add chana dal red chillies and fry for few minutes,add whole pepper corns, and fry for few seconds.
3. Roast on medium flame till nice colour,put in hing,curry leaves and mix well.
4.Switch off the flame but continue to blend, let it cool down to mix. After done blend well into a coarse powder and add some saindavalavanam(rock salt) before serving.
