Karivaypaaku Vellulipaya Karam Podi
Ingredients:
1.Curry leaves
2.Garlic cloves
3.Dry red chillies
4.Saindavalavanam(rock salt) to taste
5.Turmeric powder
6.Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
7.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
8.Coriander seeds 1 cup
9.Tamarind pulp
10.Chana dal 1 cup
11.Cow ghee
12.Urad dal 1 cup
13.Pepper corns 1 tbsp
Preparation:
1.Take a mud pan pour 2 tbsp cow ghee.Heat it.
2.Add chana dal,urad dal fry evenly on medium flame.
3.Nextly add coriander seeds to the fried combination. fry up them on medium flame.
4.Add garlic cloves and fry them evenly with other ingredients.
5.Add mustard seeds,cumin seeds and pepper corns fry them.
6.Add dry red chillies to the fried mixture depending upon our spicyness we can add more.
7.Add pinch of turmeric powder and mix well continuously.
8.Add curry leaves to the fried mixture and mix well. take away onto a plate to cool.
9.Once cool, transfer everything into a grinder,add tamarind,saindavalavanam(rock salt) to taste.
10.Grind until desired quality is achieve. serve up hot in rice or idly with ghee.
